International Education Verification
Verification of degrees obtained in other countries is just as important to verifying those obtained within the US. However, each country has their own process and protocol for obtaining these verifications and sometimes it can be confusing to keep track of them all. Info Cubic’s International Verification specialists understand the requirements around the globe and can take you and your candidates through the process to ensure the fastest and most accurate results possible.

Education verifications will include all information made available by the source. Sources may include third party verification services such as the National Student Clearinghouse, which may have limited information available. If an educational institution works with a third party verification service, we are required to obtain our verification through that source and not through the school directly. Consultation with qualified legal counsel is recommended for all employment law matters.

Q: Why is additional documentation required to verify education received outside of the United States?
A: Each country has their own requirements to verify the information based on how their records are maintained. Some countries may require a copy of the diploma and mark sheets, others may require a copy of the passport or other ID copies or numbers. Info Cubic will let you know if anything further is required to complete the verification.
Q: Why is the turnaround time so much longer for verifying education received outside of the United States?
A: In some situations, we can verify international education within a few days, but this all depends on the information required to complete the verification and how quickly Info Cubic receives it. Some schools also maintain records in hard copy files which can also extend the turnaround time.

As a default setting on Education Verifications, the Cube will require the name that the applicant graduated under be provided. This is very helpful to our Verifications Team and eliminates the need to go back to a client or applicant and request a name graduated under.
In addition, The Cube offers configuration rules that can be set to ensure the education history that a client wants verified is completed and not more or less. For example, an applicant can be prompted to indicate whether a degree they are providing is their highest degree attained. The account can be configured to order that search but not another where they indicated a degree was not their highest attained.
All fields on the Education Verification screen can be made required or not required, re-ordered, re-labeled, or removed entirely. By default we will ask for and require the pieces of information commonly required to complete the search, but we are open to discussing customizations with clients to meet their needs.
Custom client instructions can be added to Education Verifications at the account or even package level. This allows customers the flexibility to provide specific direction to applicants as it relates to their requirements. All requested instructions will go through an internal approval process at Info Cubic before being added to a client account.
